This guy wants £10,000 to replicate what KeePass already does.
I want to create the Password Protector.
Designed to securely store your Passwords in an encrypted data-store, one that you can carry around with you on a USB stick (Very Secure), store locally on your PC (Okay Secure) or in the Cloud (Secure).
This requires that the business in question used their solution, that the customer has a compatible phone, AND that the customer has downloaded the app. A piece of paper doesn’t.
Another problem is, what do you do if someone has entered the queue but doesn’t actually show up? Do you wait?
Last time I was at a clinic, I booked an appointment by phone in advance, and when it was my turn, they called me up. No paper needed. No app needed.
This whole thing sounds to me like a solution in search of a problem.

I have just one question… Why would this take $40,000?
Someone can probably knock this together in a weekend, or a week, tops.

This would be perfectly fine, if it weren’t for the iOS only part. The iphone doesn’t really have that huge market share (around 15%), while Android is pretty much “the rest”, give or take.
I would guess most hardware tinkerers and hackers would prefer a non-iOS device, since most other systems are a lot more hackable.
A carbon fiber backs cratcher? Who in their right minds would pay $50 for a back scratcher that is less practical than an ordinary one, and maybe even dangerous if the fibers ever start peeling off.
This might have been a great concept in 2004. In 2014? Not so much.

Most training apps do everything this can do already, and all you need are a pair of (preferably wireless) headphones in addition to the phone you’re probably already wearing.

A website/app to report and discuss problems and misinformation on/from websites and to rate and review websites and tech.
Hm, fair enough, but you can make this in an afternoon, or perhaps a few days. What do you need kickstarter for?
Eventually I’d like to branch out and integrate with public works and businesses to report things like patches of ice, a water fountain that doesn’t work, or anything else that is dangerous or annoying from the comfort of your computer or phone.
Okay, why? Do one thing, and do it well.
The risk is that people will want more compensation for their reports than the website/app can deliver, however this can be handled by proper disclosures which I would like to hire a lawyer to write.
